The MCAT is a mile long and an inch deep. You don’t have to know everything in a concept, you just have to know a little of every concept! Knowing dimensional analysis (I.e. going from micro to milli to kilo) like the back of your hand is also crucial! If you just memorize units, like knowing that 1 N = 1 kg•m/s^2, you don’t even have to know the formula for the force you’re calculating, just plug in the values that have those units and multiply/divide accordingly to give you the N! God did not give me the patience to sit on a lab bench for hours doing titrations, running elution columns, and loading electrophoresis wells. I would rather peel each of my fingernails off one by one. In all seriousness, what you research really is just a matter of preference and resources. Lab research I feel like is definitely much safer if you can show your commitment, dedication, and passion for it, not just that you showed up for a bit for a couple weeks and dipped. It all boils down to not what you did, but HOW you did it!
