I feel so privileged in many ways and am truly grateful for my job and the people I've met through work. But damn it's tough out here 🙏🏡

Turning twenty-five this year is realising that it was never me. I wish I could hug my younger self and tell her, “You are so loved, just by the wrong people. You are enough. Life will get better, I promise!” Love yourself first before adoring others and putting them on a pedestal while seeking their approval. It’s okay to speak up and tell them how you feel. I can be my own best friend. I don’t need to tolerate unforgivable behaviour just because I was so desperate for ‘friends’ or ‘family.’ I dimmed my light so others would feel more comfortable. “Don’t ask too many questions,” “Don’t wear that skirt,” “Don’t sit next to him,” “Laughing at my YouTube videos behind my back,” “You need to fly home by yourself at the end of the week from Europe”—at the age of 18, when they knew I had never had the privilege of flying before. Or constantly not being invited, but seeing it all on social media. Being a one-sided cheerleader is not a friendship. And if you’re currently struggling to find friends, if you don’t feel safe speaking to your relatives, please take my advice as your friend: that behaviour you’re putting up with is not normal. It’s not worth the tears, the pain, or the trauma. You will find the right people when you set boundaries with yourself and others. Your voice is powerful—SPEAK. Remove ANY toxic people from your life, even if that sadly means your family. Your friends will become your family. Move out of that small town and never look back. There is so much more life out there waiting for you. I struggle with opening up, being vulnerable, crying for myself, and crying in front of others. I’ve never filmed nor looked at myself when I’m sad. It really scares me to post this video and share a glimpse of my life. I have a lifetime of healing to do, but if this video can help just one struggling person out there, I’m glad I was vulnerable on the internet. I’m also mad at myself for ruining my wet fake tan on my face while filming this weird video of me crying on the bathroom floor. LOL, the DRAMAAAA was DRAMARING in the early AM 🤪🫣
